Flood experts network founded

Specialists from emergency response, public administration, industry and research have joined forces in the newly founded Hochwasserexperten-Netzwerk e.V. (Flood Expert Network) in order to jointly advance operational flood protection.
The Hochwasserexperten-Netzwerk e.V. (flood expert network) is a new association dedicated to promoting operational flood protection. It is supported by committed colleagues from fire brigades, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), the German Armed Forces and rescue organisations, as well as from public administration, industry and research. In addition, the network offers basic training in routine measures of operational flood protection and further training opportunities in this field.
