On Friday, 29 August 2025, the Erftverband and the intermunicipal flood protection cooperation (hwsErft) invite you to a flood protection action day at the Gymnicher Mühle Nature Park Centre from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

With a varied programme for young and old, the organisers aim to provide playful and informative education about flood protection. Highlights include an exciting water rally with a competition, an art workshop, hands-on experiments and guided tours of the Erft Museum. The active construction site of the Erft relocation can also be visited as part of guided tours – online registration is required for this.

Numerous exhibitors offer practical insights – from sandbag filling and mobile protection systems to sewer inspection with cameras and fog technology.
