Since April 25, 2025, citizens in NRW have been able to use the new “H2OCH Wasser App/für's Haus” to check the flood risk of their property.

The app is based on the previous FloodCheck app and uses municipal hazard maps and geodata. 118 municipalities are already participating. The aim is to strengthen self-preparedness and better prevent flood damage.
