Workshop on flood risk communication

The Rhine Flood Emergency Community (HWNG Rhein) is hosting a workshop in Cologne in collaboration with the Information and Advice Centre for Flood Prevention (IBH), Cologne Municipal Drainage Services (StEB), the German Committee for Disaster Risk Reduction (DKKV) and the Flood Competence Centre (HKC). 

Flood protection action day at the Gymnicher Mühle

On Friday, 29 August 2025, the Erftverband and the intermunicipal flood protection cooperation (hwsErft) invite you to a flood protection action day at the Gymnicher Mühle Nature Park Centre from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Hesse expands early warning system against heavy rainfall

Following a successful pilot project in the district of Fulda, the German state of Hesse is introducing a digital early warning system for heavy rainfall and flooding in additional regions.
